The World Netball Series will take place at the Liverpool Echo Arena from the 19 -21st November 2011. Last year’s inaugural event took place in Manchester at the Manchester Evening News Arena and showcased the new "wow" factor netball competition. Spectators will witness some of the world's greatest netball promising a fast, ferocious and vibrant competition in an aim to raise the profile of the sport and attract new participants and fans.
With a number of innovative rule changes the new format, known as FastNet tests the fitness, technical ability and tactical awareness of the best players in the world. Each game will be played over four six minute quarters and promises to be high energy and an awesome spectacle. The series will involve the world's top six netball nations, which in IFNA (International Federation of Netball Associations) World Ranking Order are; Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Malawi and South Africa. The Word Netball Series is hosted in association with IFNA, Manchester City Council, Liverpool City Council, England Netball, Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA).
Netball fans worldwide are being encouraged to take advantage of the great ticket offers available to secure a seat at the event. To add to the event's vibrant and exciting atmosphere spectators will have the option of buying tickets to sit in designated areas to support their home teams. With the England Enclosure, Aussie Posse, Kiwi Corner, Jamaica Jamboree, Malawi Mezzanine and the South African Sector available to choose from the atmosphere will be electric.
