The Sunshine Girls Get a Warm Welcome!
With The Co-operative World Netball Series coming to the M.E.N Arena this weekend, teams from around the world have arrived in the city to start training for the eagerly anticipated event.
The top six netballing nations including, England, Australia, New Zealand, Jamaica, Samoa and Malawi will all come together this weekend to play to a brand new set of innovative rules.

y warm welcome after their arrival into the UK on Thursday (1st October). The Jamaican community rallied round with an aim to accilimatise their home team in preparation for this weekends events.
Not only has accommodation, training facilities and transport been arranged for the players, a Gala Dinner at the Millennium Power House was put on to show support and welcome the team to the UK. With attendance from local councilors, the Lord Mayor, local businesses and netballers the 55 guests enjoyed a traditional meal know as Jamaican Fayre followed by a night of lively entertainment!
The evening proved to be a great success with The Sunshine Girls having a fantastic evening and the Jamaican community feeling very proud of their team and pledging their support to the event.
