On Sunday 6th September representative teams from across the North West gathered at the Amaechi Basketball Centre to compete for a place in the inaugural Matalan Fastnet Final.

Teams from Cumbria, Merseyside, Lancashire, Gtr Manchester and Cheshire competed for the opportunity to showcase their skills at the M.E.N Arena as a curtain raiser for The Co-operative World Netball Series Finals on Sunday 11th October.

After a day of fierce competitive netball, Didsbury NC and XYW NC (representing Cheshire and Lancashire respectively) were able to claim a coveted spot on the main court in front of a huge audience, at The Co-operative World Netball Series, where the top six netball nations will battle it out between the 9th – 11th October.
