Manchester needs you!

Manchester City Council is encouraging as many people as possible to participate in a Guinness World Record attempt!
Be a part of history and participate in the challenge of ‘Most Netball Goals Scored in One Hour’ in the city’s Piccadilly Gardens on Wednesday 16th September.
A netball post will be erected on the paved area outside the Kro Bar where the Guinness World Record attempt will commence at 12 noon sharp. A film crew will document the event so there’s even a chance participants will be on the TV.
Players from the England netball team will be at hand to help break the record along with primary school and netball teams from the North West region.
Nicola Moloney, event manager at Manchester City Council said: “We want to encourage as many people as possible to put down their sandwich and take part in the netball challenge on their lunch break. Our target is to score 101 goals in the space of one hour to beat the current world record.”
The Guinness World Record attempt is being used to promote The Co-operative World Netball Series, a three day international netball competition featuring the world’s top six nations taking place at the M.E.N Arena between the 9-11th October.
“Everyone who takes part in the Guinness World Record attempt and supports our campaign will be entitled to a 10% discount on tickets  to The Co-operative World Netball Series. The challenge is going to be fast paced and exciting, just like the three day event next month,” continued Nicola.
Tickets start from only £5.
