The World Netball Series will take place at the Echo Arena Liverpool from the 25th -27th November 2011.  Following last years competition, this promises to deliver netball with the "wow" factor once again.  England, New Zealand, Australia, Jamaica, South Africa and Fiji complete this years line up.
 
For the big one England were tackling New Zealands Fast Net specialist side and started the right way by converting their centre. Sonia Mkoloma forced the Silver Ferns to put the ball out of court and with a swift return down court England were 2-0 ahead. The advantage held for a more than half of the quarter before a couple of individual errors gave New Zealand the chance to turn the tide and by the whistle they were 7-5 in front.

What's it all about?

The World Netball Series will take place at the Liverpool Echo Arena from the 25th-27th November 2011. Last year's event took place in Liverpool showcased the "wow" factor of the World Netball Series competition. Spectators witnessed some of the world's greatest netball in a fast, ferocious and vibrant competition in an aim to raise the profile of the sport and attract new participants and fans.

With a number of innovative rule changes the format, known as Fast Net tests the fitness, technical ability and tactical awareness of the best players in the world. Each game was played over four, six minute quarters and was a high energy, awesome spectacle. The series involved the world's top six netball nations, which in IFNA (International Federation of Netball Associations) World Ranking Order are; Australia, New Zealand, England, Jamaica, Fiji and South Africa. The World Netball Series is hosted in association with IFNA, Liverpool City Council, England Netball and the WNS Stakeholders and partners.
